He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Garofola and Mary Teresa Garofola (Sissino); his wife Patricia Srygley; his daughter Tina Marie; and his siblings, Tony Garofola, Frank Garofola, Mary Francis Mosier and Fannie White.

He is survived by : his sons, Timothy Garofola (Cathy) and Tracy Garofola (Teresa). He is also survived by two grandchildren; and six great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
