He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Doepker (McGrath); his parents, Ott Doepker and Louise Doepker; and his sister Beverly Bills. He is survived by: his children, Donald Doepker (Kara) and Dianne Decatur (Mike); his grandchildren, Brittany Stearman (Michael), Jorden Doepker and Kyle Doepker; and his great grandchildren, Hudson Miller, Weston Miller and Bennett Stearman.
