He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hilderbrand and Della Hilderbrand; his son Nathan Hilderbrand; and his siblings, Danny Hilderbrand, David Hilderbrand and Penny Watson (Hilderbrand).

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Hilderbrand (Murphy); his children, Sean Hilderbrand (Jessica) and Elizabeth Hilderbrand (Michael); his grandchildren, Jacob, Alexus, Liliana, Maliah, Harlan, Haven, Alivia and Hunter; and his brother Don Hilderbrand (Vickie).
