It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dixie L. Rode of Beech Grove, Indiana, who passed away on December 20, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dixie L. Rode to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her father Stephen Hansel Malone; her husband Carrol Rode; her son Mike Rode; her parent Delight Malone (Marine); her siblings, Jeanne Kirkwood (Malone), Daniel Malone, Donald Malone, Michael Malone and Marina Hodge (Malone); and her granddaughter-in-law Mandy Rode (Russell).
She is survived by: her sons, Jeffrey Allan, Michael Edward and Jeff (Peggy); and her grandchildren, Carrie Graunke (Steve), Brad Rode (Amy) and Aaron Rode (Emily). She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
Due to Covid-19 mandate, all those in attendance must wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
Because Dixie had a heart for sharing, the family requests that memorials be directed to St. John Lutheran Church, or to her favorite charity, St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
