He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Turner (Holdren); his children, Robert L. Turner, Jr. (Sarah), Ellis M. Turner (Kathy) and Penny Darling (Randy); his sister-in-law Mary Turner; his sister Lilly Mae Sutton (Dennis); and also, Linda Turner and Sandra Kay Redden. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren' 13 great grandchildren.
