He was predeceased by : his parents, Merida and Fannie Smith Sr. (Jones); his siblings, Lucinda Miller, Charles, Ralph Smith and Thelma Sue Johnson; and his half-sisters, Eva Stewart and Leona Davidson.
He is survived by : his wife Thelma Brown; his daughter Amy (Mike Brattain) of Cambridge City; his grandchildren, Samantha Dungan (Nathan) of Cambridge City and Cory Brattain of Washington, DC; his great grandchildren, Carter Isaacs, Emersyn and Samuel Dungan; his sister Maude Moon of Reno, Nevada; and his brother-in-law Phil Mahoney. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
