It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles Dabbs of Berne, Indiana, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on January 27, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Alice Piechuta and Herman; his former life partner Judy Leth; his wife Judith Dabbs of Berne; his stepsons, Michael Hicks (Diane) of Ohio, Ronald Hicks of Oklahoma, Robert Hicks of Illinois and Jason Hicks of Illinois; his daughter Rebecca Blanton of Berne; his grandson Joshua Blanton of Berne; and his half-siblings, Tom Ashley and Debbie Malinowski. He was also cherished by eight step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren.
