He was predeceased by : his parents, Norma Jean Barrett (Wagner) and William Barrett, Jr.; and his brother Bruce Barrett. He is survived by : his children, Shannon Barrett and Lisa Barrett Nocus; his son-in-law Shane; his grandchildren, Graylin, Reagan, Kayla, Kendall, Corban, Ashlyn and Caleb Nocus; and his brother Randall Barrett (Theresia Barrett).

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 5th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Bethel Church (13673 E State Rd 58, Edwardsport, IN 47528). A memorial service was held on Sunday, May 5th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for people to please make a donation to the Knox County Fair Board/4H Horse and Pony Club.
