He was predeceased by: his parents, Denzil Benassi and Merladene Benassi; his grandparents, Otillo, Gladys Benassi, Henry and Viola Tweedy; and his half-brother Clint Inman.
He is survived by: his niece Maureen Langley; his wife Teresa Benassi (Miller); his pets, Jagger and Hazel; his sister Lori Shaver (Paul) of Muncie, IN.; and his stepfather Jim Cawood.
