He is survived by : his wife Sharon Elgar (Beam); his children, Vanessa Shirley, Richard Brian Elgar (Kerry), Jon Elgar and Carol (Wayne); his grandchildren, Kristina Francis, Jared Shirley, Seth Elgar, Rebekah Shirley Fields, Tiffany Hockensmith, Zachary Elgar, Peter Eller, Levi Elgar and Luke Elgar; his great grandchildren, Devin Moss, Jayden Shirley, Brody Francis, Justin Shirley, Kaden Francis and Sarah Shirley; and his sister Ann Chaney.
