He was predeceased by: his parents, William Fiechter and Salome Fiechter (Aeschliman); his wife Mary E. Beer; his siblings, Dorothy Fiechter, Mary Jane Yergler and Charles Fiechter; and his granddaughter Stacey Fiechter.
He is survived by: his children, Don Fiechter (Suzie) of Keystone, Rick Fiechter (Beth) of Montpelier, Jim Fiechter (Jenny) of Berne, Ann Frauhiger (Kris) of Montpelier and Lynn Fiechter (Ronda) of Keystone; his brother Herman Fiechter; and his siblings-in-law, Claire Yergler and Maxine Fiechter of Bluffton. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 124 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
