He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Heed and Stella T.; his son Charles Richard Sampson; his stepdaughter Mary Ellen Fisher; his sister Virginia Ruble; and his brother-in-law Mark.
He is survived by: his wife Verna Bell (Honeycutt); his son Stanley; his daughter-in-law Laurie Sampson of Camden, OH; his stepson Leroy Honeycutt of Pearl, Mississippi; and his siblings, Jo-Ann Sampson of Greenburg, IN, Barbara Brewer (Michael) of Knightstown, IN and Roger Sampson (Lisa) of Arlington, IN. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
