He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Wanemacher and Bessie Wanemacher (Williams); his former wife Jeanette; his daughter Jerilyn; and his siblings, Howard, Lowell, Fern and Marie.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy of Bourbon; his children, Jaymie Westafer of Bourbon, Jodie Elmore of Bourbon, Jim Wanemacher (Kim) of Noblesville, IN and Jeff Wanemacher (Kim) of Bourbon; his siblings, Rollin Wanemacher of Napoleon, OH and Corinne Burkholder of Archbold, OH; his sisters-in-law, Jerri Gephart of Bremen, IN and Beverly Wanemacher of Archbold, OH.; his stepchildren, Steve Mellott (Lisa) of Wapakoneta, OH, Jeff Mellott (Renee) of Warsaw, IN and Cindy Paredes (Paul) of Modesto, CA; and his grandchildren, Christina Crask (Andy), Jill McKinney (Cody Hite), Drew Westafer (Kelly), Matt Wanemacher (Ashley), Charlie Elmore (Ashley), Adam Wanemacher (Katrina), Ashlee Westafer, Bryce Wanemacher and Hannah Wanemacher. He is also survived by 8 step grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren.
In light of continued COVID concerns, wearing masks and social distancing are suggested.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to Bourbon Volunteer Fire Department and Bourbon EMS.
