We bid farewell to Christy Lynn Casassa of Brazil, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 20, 2025 at the age of 50. Christy Lynn touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Justino "Jap", Mary Kathleen Casassa (Hathaway), Richard and Joy Schmirler (Daskam); her aunts and uncles, Marla Taliaferro, Lois Casassa, Virgil Trout and John Kennedy; and her cousins, Bobby Moore and Daniel Joseph Mathis.
She is survived by: her parents, Jack Casassa and Patricia Casassa (Schmirler) of Brazil; her siblings, Carey Casassa and Cameron Casassa (Jeri Jo); her siblings' children, Kason Casassa and Kinsley Casassa; her aunts, Mary Ann Trout, Margaret Kennedy and Laura Duncan (Tim); and her uncle Jimmy Casassa (Sonnie).
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lawson-Miller Chapel (1702 E National Ave, Brazil, IN 47834). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (645 Poplar St, Terre Haute, IN 47807).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Immanual Lutheran Church or the Clay County Tri Kappa Service Sorority.
