He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Wheeler Mathews and Georgia Cochran Mathews; his siblings, Pauline Anderson, Floyd Mathews, Hazel Hanna, Bill Mathews and Betty Smith; his wife Margaret Minear; and his grandchildren, Thomas Scott Yokum and Krista Zink.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Yokum (Thomas) of Monongah and John Minear (Judy) of Belington; his grandchildren, Jonilyn Edgington and Mike Minear; his great grandchildren, Bradley Yokum, David Edington, Brian Edgington and Ryan Minear; and also Paula Yokum.
