He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Miller Bowser and Carl Edward Bowser; and his brother Robin Bowser. He is survived by: his wife Michele Bowser; his children, Machelle Bowser Hartford (Bill), Curtis Bowser and Christopher Bowser (Helen); his grandchildren, Spencer Hartford, Cameron Hartford, Chloe Hartford and John Bowser II; his stepchildren, Bill Pugh (Amy), Alissa Murrey (Robert), John Pugh (Elena), Jesse Pugh (Alicia), Lydia Farmer (Jesse), Joshua Pugh (Blakley), Isaac Pugh (Alicia), Adam Pugh and Matthew Pugh; and his siblings, Carl (Buster), Louis Bowser, William Bowser, Mary Bowser Hubbard, Rita Bowser Kirkman and Virginia Bowser Hughes. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
