He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilford F. Alexander and Hilda I. Alexander (Fuller); his siblings, Wilford M. "Junior" Alexander, Sarah "Dee" Ebert, Imogene Rushton and Charlotte Mills; and his granddaughters, Sandi Best and Amie Alexander.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley (Leavell); his brothers, Daniel E. Alexander (Linda) and Merle "Ron" Alexander (Ginger); and his children, Theresa Best (Steve), Greg Alexander (Julie), Corinne Wright (David), Todd Alexander (Kyle) and Donald "Tim" Alexander (Angel). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
