He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Benson and Violet Benson (Carnes). He is survived by: his wife Reba Benson; his children, Tammy Russ (Sam), John P. Benson, Marc Benson (Holly) and Tracy Hutton (G. R.); his daughter-in-law Eileen Benson; his grandchildren, David Russ, Grant Hutton, Parker Benson, Matt Hutton, Bridget Benson, Victoria Benson, Jack Benson, Molly Benson and Eddie Benson; his great grandchildren, Alexa Krause and Adam Russ; his sister Louise West (Jim); and his grandson Jordan Russ. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
