He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Patrick Hannigan and Hazel Payne Hannigan; and his brother Tim Hannigan. He is survived by: his wife Denise Kay Hannigan; his children, James "Jim" Hannigan, Jr. (Tiffany) and Aimee Hannigan; his grandchildren, Sydney Hannigan, James Hannigan, Avery Hannigan, Henry Hannigan, Sovay Popp and Gabriel Popp; and his siblings, Patty Hagan, Joe Hannigan and Mike Hannigan.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Hwy 311, Sellersburg, IN 47172). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael Catholic Church (101 St Michaels Dr, Charlestown, IN 47172). A burial will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at the Cave Hill Cemetery (701 Baxter Ave, Louisville, KY 40204).
