She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Ayala and Juana Ayala; her daughters, Lydia V Santiago and Elizabeth Santiago; and her grandsons, Rafeal Fernandez and Juanito Santiago.

She is survived by: her children, Edward "Eddie" Santiago, Rafeal Fernandez, Shakira Santiago (Edwin Medina) and Betty Garcia; her brother Miguel Ayala; her grandchildren, Jessica Rivera, Jennifer Oyola, Eddie Santiago, Nadia Fernandez, Myrna Fernandez and Nasha Fernandez; Nancy Santiago and Noel Rivera. She is also survived by two other brothers and a sister.
