He was predeceased by : his uncle Mike Pledger; and his grandmother Nadine Pledger. He is survived by : his parents, Steve Smitka and Robin Pledger; his siblings, Steven Smitka of East Chicago, IN, Matt Smitka of Chesterton, IN and Samantha Smitka-Skorupa (Brian) of Valparaiso, IN; his grandparents, Bill, Pat Smitka of Hammond, IN and Ray Pledger of Navarre, FL; his stepfather Robin Kohn of Navarre, FL; his sister-in-law Jasmin Smitka; and his nieces, Dream Swan and Stormie Jackson.
