He was predeceased by: his parents, Davis Carr and Mollie Carr (Blackwood); his wife Carroll Rae Carr; his son Kirk Lee Carr; and his brother Bert Carr.

He is survived by: his daughters, Becky Gold (Bob) of Newburgh, IN and Melinda Johnson (Charles) of Jasper, IN; and his grandchildren, Megan Gold, Tim Gold, Haleigh Hopf, Molly Johnson, Emilie Schepers, Chloe Johnson, K. C. Carr, Tasha Tucker and John Marshall Dough. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
