He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Gilbert and Helen Gilbert (Rowland); his siblings, Richard Gilbert, Eddie Gilbert, Sally Gardner and Sharon Gilbert; his grandson Nathan LaRue; and his great grandchild Timothy LaRue.
He is survived by: his wife Eva Gilbert; his daughter Cammie LaRue; his brother Roland Gilbert (Elaine); his grandchildren, Seth LaRue (Melissa) and Megan Hoopingarner (Darrick); and his great grandchildren, Lucy, Jude, Bela, Bryn, Hudson, Oliver, Lillian, Lynlee and Laken.
