She was predeceased by : her parents, Malcolm Waldbieser and Ruby Waldbieser (Comer); her son Dan Newton (Jill) of Cloverdale; and her husband Bill I. She is survived by : her children, Terri Nees (Rodney) of Dallas, Texas, Bill Newton II (Angela) of Center Point, Patrick Newton (Jody) of Brazil and Brandon Newton (Jessica) of Terre Haute; and her sister Sharon Thomas of San Antonio. She is also survived by her daughter, three sons, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Good News Church in Brazil.
