He was predeceased by: his parents, William James Owens and Margaret Evelyn Bethel Owens; his stepfather Bufford Lively; and his brother Pinky Owens. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Michael Owens Jr., Michell Van Houtin of Clinton and Dawn Owens of Peoria, IL; and his sisters, Christine, Paulette and Lori. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several aunts and uncles.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Parke-Vermillion County Humane Society with envelopes available at the funeral home.
