He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Brown and Lillie Brown; his wife Mary Creek; and his siblings, Glenn, Edith, Jay, Bobby, Peggy, Mary and Sue.
He is survived by: his children, Lillie Mae Helton (Terry), Charlotte Michelle Nicholson (Robbie), Charles Edward Brown Jr. (Dawn) and Johnnie Christopher Brown (Brittany); his close friend Phyliss Gaddis; his brother Ray Brown (Sara); and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Brown and Thereasa Cornette.
