She was predeceased by : her parents, Max Gawthrop and Letha Gawthrop (VanMeter); her sister Sue Myers; and her close friend Joseph Hare. She is survived by : her children, Deborah Seymour (Rick) of Columbia City, Annette Walters (Jeff) of Winona Lake, Sherrie Gipson (Bill) of Atkins, AR, Darla Briggs (Chris) of Fort Wayne, Deb Stoppenhagen of Churubusco, Dede Altimus of Port Charlotte, FL and Sally Baldridge of Columbia City; and her siblings, Marcia Gawthrop of Columbia City, Rose Tucker of Columbia City and Fred Gawthrop of Columbia City. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
