She was predeceased by: her parents, John Jagger and Audrey Jagger (Egolf); her former spouse Dale D. Wood; her husband Delmer E. Fry; her great grandchildren, Talynn Wood and Damien Clymer; her brothers, Lyman Jagger, Harold "Eugene" Jagger, Marshall Jagger (Catherine), Gerald Jagger (Grace) and J. Devon Jagger (Maxine); and her daughters-in-law, Linda Wood, Pam Wood, Carol Wood and Jo Ellen Wood.
She is survived by: her children, Bruce Wood, Terry Wood, Randy Wood (Beverly), Cathy Gardner (David) and Bryan Wood; her stepson Steven Fry; her sister DeMaris Valjack; her sisters-in-law, Brenda Keeling, Lola Wood and Patsy Williams; and her caregivers, Jasmine, Karrie, Michael and Carl. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; 1 step grandson; and 1 step great grandson.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home (600 Countryside Dr, Columbia City, IN 46725). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given in memory of Bernice to First Church of God, Bear Lake Church Camp, Parkview Hospice, or Gideon Bible.
