It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy May Stayer (Columbia City, Indiana), born in South Whitley, Indiana, who passed away on April 24, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas Elkins and Violet Elkins (Holler); her husband Everett Stayer; and her siblings, Evelyn Brickley, Robert and Max Elkins.

She is survived by : her children, Vickie Stanley (Lee) and Rich Stayer (Linda); her granddaughters, Heather Whiteman and Rachael Metcalf (Bryce); and her great grandchildren, Liam Whiteman and Lillian Whiteman.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home (600 Countryside Dr, Columbia City, IN 46725). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial donations may be given in memory of Dorothy to the Alzheimer Association.
