He was predeceased by: his mothers, Joy Carpenter and Norma (McClure); and his grandson Ellis Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Pat; his sons, Ryan, Neil and Adam (Jamie); his brother Randy Landis; his granddaughters, Shelby Ewell, Hope Wagner and Faith Wagner; and his great grandchildren, Carter Ewell, Evelyn Ewell and Bennett Ewell.
