She is survived by: her parents, Betty Lou Lawson Tempest and Robert L. Tempest (Pam); her brother Robert W. Tempest; and her stepbrother Craig Holcomb of Columbus. She is also survived by several aunts and uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

A memorial has been established to the Bartholomew County Humane Society.
