It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Beulah Ilene Thompson of Columbus, Indiana, who passed away on January 23, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her mother Thelma Fern Ping Pruitt; her husband J. Keith Thompson; her father Wesley Pruitt; her grandsons, Logan Thompson, Bradley Thompson and SGT Jonathon Michael Hunter; her great great grandchild Walker Phillip Hutson; and her siblings, Catherine Smith, Mary Louise Hardin, Eva Wallace, Halford, Floyd and Jerry Pruitt.

She is survived by : her children, Wanda Lunsford (Dan) of Columbus, Brenda Prall (Jerry) of Columbus, Linda Scheidt (Eric) of Columbus, Brian Thompson (Kimberly) of Nashville, J. Lynn Thompson (Lisa) of Columbus, Alan Thompson (Kim) of Pennsylvania and Randy Thompson (Jenny) of Columbus; her grandchildren, Jim Lunsford (Kelly), Cindy Lunsford, Matthew Prall (Hannah), Katie Prall, Lindsey England (Andy), Kelsey Thompson, Dylan Thompson, Bradan Thompson, Kelly Nessenson (Dylan), Audrey Thompson, Maddison Thompson and Harrison Thompson (Bre); her brothers, Scott Pruitt (Yvonne) of Columbus and Ronnie Pruitt (Carolyn) of Columbus; and her sister-in-law Dixie Pruitt of Seymour. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.

James West wrote a sympathy message

“I began work at the Gas Company in Columbus in 1958. My drawing board was next to Keith's desk. We became very good friends. Whenever he had a headache it was my duty to go to the Kitchenette on 25th Street and get us Meatloaf sandwiches heavy on the mustard. He and his family came up to our home for a cookout once. I was wondering if he could navigate that huge travel trailer in our small driveway, but he made it. A very good time was had by all. They will be missed by us. Jim West”
