He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Elam and Martha Hodge Elam. He is survived by: his wife Rhonda K. Skinner; his son Chris Elam; his grandchildren, Miranda Elam of Columbus, Hannah Elam of Columbus and Jordan Elam of Seymour; and his siblings, Terry Elam (Elaine) of Ohio, Doug Elam of Columbus, Wendy Ison of Kentucky, Donnie Elam of Kentucky, Harry Pennington of Kentucky, Charlie Rooks (Hazel) of Columbus, Haze Stamper (Becky) of Columbus, Cecil Caudill (Betsy) of Columbus, Harry Baker (Cindy) of Columbus and Terry Burgan (Jim) of Columbus. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
