He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. York and Dimple Huffines York; his siblings, John O. York Sr. and Betty Hamilton (Paul); his mother-in-law Lucille F. Newsom; and his brothers-in-law, Randall Griffin and Keith Newsom.
He is survived by: his wife Karen York; his nieces and nephews, Johnny O. York, Jr. of Columbus, Crystal York (Ricky Cox) of Columbus, Micheal York (Stacy) of Columbus, Laci Green of Columbus and Sean A. Matney of Columbus; his father-in-law Henry Griffin, Jr. of Columbus; and his siblings-in-law, Amy York of Columbus, Connie Wade of Michigan, Cathy Kelly of Columbus and Kevin Newsom of Edinburgh. He is also survived by 6 great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Columbus Bowling Center, in care of the junior bowling league.
