She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hopkins, and Lillie Skinner Hopkins, Sr.; and her sister Gloria White. She is survived by: her children, Brian Merritt of Columbus and Jennifer Merritt (John Lucas) of Hope; her grandchildren, Dylan Merritt of Hope, Brianna Laney (Cody) of Edinburgh, Tiffany Biggs (James) of Columbus, Jazmine Merritt of Hope, Shakiya Taylor of Columbus, Joshua Lucas of Hope and Amanda Lucas of Hope; and her brothers, Tom Young of Columbus and John Hopkins, Jr. of Seymour. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
