He was predeceased by: his parents, Hillary Godsey and Oda Godsey; and his sister Linda Godsey Patton. He is survived by: his former wife Sherri Godsey; his sons, Brandon Godsey (Victoria) of Columbus and Chris Godsey of Columbus; his siblings, Ella Jean Gillespie (Roger) of Columbus and Eddie Godsey of North Carolina; and his grandchildren, Adam, Liam and Elowen Godsey. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
