He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Cook; his daughters, Denise McClintic and Edna Bridgewater; and his siblings, Geneva Bridgewater and Ira Bridgewater.
He is survived by: his children, Herschel (Flossie Pruitt Bridgewater), Dana Bridgewater (Samantha Seright) of Columbus, Geneva Davis (Rick) of Columbus, Rob Cook of Columbus, Bobby Cook (Shelly) of California and Linda Taylor (Gerald) of Georgia; his grandchildren, Justine Wallace (Greg), Carson Greene, Derek Davis, Ashley Hunter and Whitney Johnson; his great grandchildren, Logan Wallace and Jovi Wallace; and his brother Jerry Bridgewater of Columbus. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
