He was predeceased by: his parents, Toleman Jackson and Malvery Bowling Jackson; and his siblings, Arthur Jackson, Walter Jackson, Junior Jackson, Betty Fox and Linda Sullivan.

He is survived by: his wife Judith; his children, Jeffrey Jackson of Columbus, James Jackson (Melanie) of Cowpens, John Jackson (Suzette) of Myrtle Beach and Jennifer Jackson of Columbus; his grandchildren, Aubrey Conner (Logan), Brooks Jackson and Katherine Jackson; his stepgrandchildren, Brock Wyatt (Rachel), Shawn Wyatt (Abby) and Brittany Martin (Jody); his great grandchild Gwyneth Conner; and also, Maddison Wyatt, Ellison Wyatt and Raelyn Martin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or East Columbus Christian Church.
