He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Rotert and Nora Vornholt Rotert Sr; his wife Dorothy; his siblings, Arnold Rotert, David Rotert, Ruby Lange, Betty Manuel and Ruth Petrunak; his grandson Cory Heideman; and his son-in-law Fred Heideman.
He is survived by: his children, Prima Heideman of Seymour, Judy Senn (Jerry) of Brownstown, Wanda Engelau (Harold) of Seymour, Lesa Reynolds (Matt) of Rochester Hills, Peggy Stockelman (Troy) of Seymour, Ernest Rotert of Seymour and Kenneth Rotert (Nancy) of Columbus; his sisters, Virginia Taulman and Doris Jean Conrad; and his sister-in-law Sarah Rotert of Seymour. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
