It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gary Hilber of Columbus, Indiana, born in Norman, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 24, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert James and Kathleen Marie Thompson Hilber; and his sons, Geoffrey Michael Hilber and Justin James Hilber. He is survived by : his spouse Robin Shomo; his children, Stephanie Kautzman (Patrick) of Fargo, ND, Jennifer Johnson (Brett) of Grand Forks, ND, Erin Brandstaetter (Bernd) of Charleston, SC, C. Jordan Hilber (Elaine) of Columbus and Jonathan Hilber (Brittani) of Franklin, IN; his siblings, Michael Hilber (Julie) of Fargo, ND, Shari Cannon of Detroit Lakes, MN and Shannon Klein (Bob) of Fargo, ND; his grandchildren, Canon, Logen Hilber, Jacob, Abby, Ellery Kautzman, Amanda Oberg and Kaylie Johnson; and his great grandchild Valak.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and concern for the safety of family and friends, a memorial Mass will be held at a later date at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.
