He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Ray and Ima Jean East McElroy; his wife Barbara R. Mullis; his stepson Michel; and his brother Michel Wayne McElroy.

He is survived by: his siblings, Marshall McElroy (Patricia) of Hope, Sharon McElroy of Columbus and Jeff McElroy of Columbus; and his nieces and nephews, Zachary, Brandon, Dustin, Braydon, Natasha and Brooke. He is also survived by four step-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
