He is survived by: his wife Nila Carol Oberlander; his children, Tracy Morrison of North Vernon, Brad Morrison of Mooresville, Travis Morrison (Kelley) of Bloomington and Shelbia DeaKyne (Kevin) of Huntington; his daughter-in-law Cindy Morrison of North Vernon; his sister Berniece Payne (Don) of Attica; his grandchildren, Ashely DeWeese (Jacob) of Warren, Donnie DeaKyne (Bethany) of Alabama, Andrew DeaKyne (Marissa) of Columbia City, Savannah Johnson (Lucas) of Huntington, Chelsea Morrison of North Vernon, Macy Lewis (Patrick) of Columbus, Connor Morrison (Megan) of Holton, Gabriel Morrison of Indianapolis, Gove Morrison of Spencer and Austin Morrison of Bloomington; and his great grandchildren, Keegan Anderson of Warren, Laney DeWeese of Warren, Tate DeWeese of Warren, Caleb DeaKyne of Alabama, Wesley DeaKyne of Alabama, Wyatt Morrison of Holton and Eleanor Lewis of Columbus.
Memorials may be made in honor of Gene through the funeral home to the Jennings County High School Basketball or Jennings County High School Cross Country.
