He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil DeBusk and Faye McKinney DeBusk; his wife Peggy Jo DeBusk of February; and his brother-in-law Freddy Barrow. He is survived by: his children, Scott DeBusk (Lela) of Columbus and Holly Weihrauch (Jeff) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Maleigha Weihrauch of Columbus, Chrissy Steele of Columbus, Victoria Steele of Columbus and Zachary Steele of Columbus; and his siblings, Patricia Kelly (Melvin) of Kentucky, Judy Barrow of Kentucky, Sharon Spencer and Marshall DeBusk (Linda) of North Carolina. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
