It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Horace G. Ballard Jr. (Columbus, Indiana), who passed away on August 4, 2018, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Sr. and Aline Oller Ballard Sr.; and his brothers, Robert Ballard and Rondal Ballard. He is survived by: his children, Carnel Jean McFarland (Jim) of North Huntingdon, Jonathan Garvin Ballard (Christy) of Greenwood and Daniel Vince Ballard (Shelly) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Anna Marie McFarland, Michael James McFarland, Nathan John McFarland, Stephen Daniel McFarland, Rachel Carnel McFarland and Mallory Rose Ballard; his stepgrandchildren, June Whitla, Andy Barker, Elizabeth Drake, Eric Drake and Abby Drake; and his siblings, Vicki Denney (Dennis) of Yorktown, Patricia Dooley (Sam) of Columbus and Richard Ballard of Franklin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.
