He was predeceased by: his father Jack C. Hatfield; his stepmother Alma Jo Pearce Hatfield; his mother Lorraine Hatfield; his wife Debra Ann Allman Hatfield; his siblings, Robert "Bob" Hatfield and Judy Taylor; and his half-sister Carol Hatfield Barnes.
He is survived by: his children, Buffey Smith (Richard) of Seymour, Indiana and Chad E. Hatfield of Seymour, Indiana; his stepsons, Todd Meek of Wichita and Tim Meek of Montana; his grandchildren, Donovan Smith (Heather), Darrion Smith, Taylor Hatfield, Lilly Hatfield, Evan Hatfield, Brittany Meek and Brandon Meek; his great grandchildren, Emerson Smith and Silver Hatfield; his siblings, Betty Pierce of Wichita, Patty, Bill Hatfield of Seymour and Lee Allen Hatfield of Wichita, Kansas; and his half-brother Johnny W. Hatfield of Oklahoma. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
