He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Voelz and Saundra F. Stidham; his daughter Valerie Starr Voelz; and his brother William F. "Bill" Voelz. He is survived by: his wife Gloria D. Voelz (Cardinal); his son Grant Voelz (Jenna); his brothers, Tony Voelz of Columbus and Thomas Stidham (Jennifer) of Columbus; and his grandchildren, Vivian, Chloe, Isabelle and Leonidas Voelz.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
