It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Dugan Becker (Columbus, Indiana), born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 17, 2018, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Thomas R. Dugan, Mary Jane Bergerson, Kathleen Elizabeth "Betty" Jolivette and Marguerite Cullen. She is survived by: her parents, Thomas M. Dugan and Frances Coady Dugan; her grandchildren, Frankie Gilmore Williams (Ryan), Sam Gilmore (Eriko), Lucy Gilmore, Gus Gilmore, Catherine Hageman Winkler (Jordan), Jack Hageman (Abby), Zack Bingham (Katie), Joanne Almond Escalante (Derek), Thomas Almond, Nelson Almond, Hugh Pebworth, Maggie Pebworth and Charlie Pebworth; her great grandchildren, Connor Williams, Riley Williams, Betty Bingham and Frances Winkler; and her sister-in-law Katherine Becker Blank of Melbourne.
Memorial gifts and donations in Joan's honor may be made to the Bartholomew County Library to purchase new books or to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
