He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Halsey and Norma Halsey (Chasteen). He is survived by: his wife Susan Halsey (Hunt); his children, Michael Halsey of Columbus and Karen Halsey of Anderson; his sisters, Betty Goforth of Scipio and Nancy Elkins of Hartsville; his grandchildren, Jonathan Halsey of Columbus, Brianna Kimball of Columbus, Braxton Halsey of Taylorsville and Kaiden Myers of Taylorsville; and his great grandchild Jessica Likens.
Memorials may be made in honor of John through the funeral home to Our Hospice of Jennings County.
