He was predeceased by: his daughter Joan Rene Piper. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn J. Dobbs; his children, John III, Dominic and Jill Mills (Piper-Brown); his grandchildren, Killian, Layla, Connor, Keegan and Milo; his great grandchildren, Weston, Jacelyn, Cass and Noah; and his siblings, Jace, Jeff, Becky, Jennifer and Julia.

The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Brown County Veteran Honor Guard or a Youth Group of your choice.
