She is survived by: her children, Derrick Brown (Alicia) of Columbus and Tonya Brown of Southfield, Michigan; and her siblings, Eddie S. O'Neal, Jr., Jean Denton of Muncie and Joan Jones of North Carolina. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
